👮🏻‍♀️Cops & Robbers returns! After last year’s HAFTA award-winning Cops & Robbers hash from Bow Street, we’re back for the sequel, this time starting from The Admiralty, Trafalgar Square, and heading through the West End in search of cops, robbers and a little bit of police history. Today, marks 197 years since the first officers of Sir Robert Peel’s new Metropolitan Police took to the streets of London in 1829 and National Police Memorial Day was marked on Sunday, remembering police officers who have lost their lives in the service. Tonight’s trail picks up some of that history. Look out for the 999 marks, which identify police-related points of interest along the route ranging from historic police stations and memorials to surviving pieces of London’s policing heritage. There are also the usual Checks, plus an SCB route for those members of the pack who regard running the full trail as an unfortunate misunderstanding. And if you don’t know whether you’re a cop or a robber, you’re probably an FRB. Dig out your best high-vis, plastic handcuffs, striped shirts, or swag bags.
